Sacraments at Epiphany Church
Parish Membership:
You are welcomed to become a member of our parish. New parishioners may register in the Rectory.
Religious Education:
All classes Grades 1 – 8 Sundays , 10:00 AM masses followed by CCD 11AM-12 PM. Confirmation 6 PM followed by Youth Group at 7PM.
Baptism:
Parents may begin the spiritual preparation for the expected baptism during pregnancy or after the birth of the child. Contact the Rectory to arrange for the Baptism. Baptisms will be celebrated five or six times a year within the Sunday liturgy.
The Sacrament of Penance (Confession):
Saturday: 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
Penance Service (with individual Confessions) are celebrated seasonally.
Individual confessions will be heard at other times by appointment.
Marriage:
The Bishops of New Jersey have directed that certain procedures be followed in preparing couples for the Sacrament of Marriage. Preparation should begin one year prior to the date of the wedding . Engaged couples should make arrangements themselves by contacting the Rectory.
Devotions:
The Novena to our Lady of the Miraculous Medal is held after the 8:00 AM and 11:30 Masses each Monday.
The Rosary is prayed each Monday through Saturday before the 8:00 AM and 11:30 Masses.
Eucharistic Adoration is held on First Fridays from 8:30 AM – 11:15 AM.
Ministry to the Sick:
The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be administered at any time in an emergency and at parish celebrations during the year. Consult the bulletin for dates. Communion is brought to the sick and home bound by the Priests of the parish and Eucharistic Ministers regularly. Please contact the Rectory to make arrangements. The Priests visit the local hospitals regularly. Please contact the Rectory if you or a family member will be hospitalized. Please do not assume that we know someone is in the Hospital.
